White Pocket, Vermillion Cliffs, Arizona.
I would characterize White Pocket as strange, chaotic, and exposed. White Pocket is an out-of-the-way and somewhat difficult place to get to. You need a vehicle that’s able to handle deep sand; miles of it. Its on a high plateau and fully exposed to all the elements. When the wind blows, you need to protect yourself. When the sky is cloudless, you bake just as the terrain has for so long. Its a wonder and a mystery why its here and how it got here and a treasure to try to photograph.
