Sand Bay, Meallabhan. Raasay and the Coulins of Skye on the distant horizon. Lines were drawn. Was it wind? Water? A great painters brush?
One of my goals for this trip was to bring back some photographs of the beachs of Scotland. This is one of them. I used an 85mm for this image. I tried to capture the detail of the sand and also pull the distant mountains close so they were not left forgotten on the horizon. A two-stop hard ND grad, angled, to tone down the late afternoon sun in both the sky and the stream of water that made its final journey back to the sea.
